Physics Educational Materials

VWR offers a complete catalog of instruments and tools useful for demonstrating key, basic concepts of physics that are applicable to everyday life both in and out of the laboratory. Demonstrate core ideas such as acceleration down a plane, friction, potential and kinetic energy, electrical conductivity, magnetic fields, wavelengths and velocity of sound, and more. Durable educational materials are designed for heavy use with consistent levels of handling, and all models are easy to use.

Catalog Number: (470332-618)

Description:   Set of two dynamics carts to demonstrate energy conservation, velocity, elastic collisions, acceleration, and momentum.
Catalog Number: (470162-756)

Description:   Apparatus for measuring the time it takes for a ball to fall a certain distance using a digital timer. Very easy to set up and use but nevertheless highly accurate. Includes 3 steel balls. A micro-magnet holds the ball in its start position. Three contact pins under the release mechanism ensure that the start position of the ball can be reproduced and act as the contacts of a switch that opens when the ball is released, thus triggering the beginning of the timing measurement. When the ball strikes the contact plate at the bottom, the timer is stopped. The ball is also held firmly on the plate so that it does not bounce. The height through which the ball drops can be adjusted to a fraction of a millimeter and read off a scale on the column.
Catalog Number: (470165-108)

Description:   This kit enables a number of advanced experiments, especially with GENPack generator module. Try different gear ratios, blade designs, generators, and more, in a creative, hands-on inquiry into wind energy science. This nacelle also converts for conducting weightlifting experiments, making it a great option for studying mechanical and electrical energy.
Catalog Number: (470338-526)

Description:   The Simple Robotics Kit is an easy build introduction to the exciting world of robotics.
Catalog Number: (470230-408)

Description:   Ideal for general purpose electronic work.
Catalog Number: (470006-476)

Description:   Large scale model of Young's double slit experiment.

Description:   Investigate the deflection of electrons.
Catalog Number: (470227-628)

Description:   These analog function generators offer familiar controls, stable output, and reliable operation at budget-saving price points.
Catalog Number: (470230-134)

Description:   Plastic disc to demonstrate rotational energy.
Catalog Number: (470230-150)

Description:   Low friction cart for kinematics.
Catalog Number: (470219-246)

Description:   The adapter includes two connectors for Vernier analog sensors and one connector for Vernier digital sensors. A screw terminal and header pins provide access to myDAQ lines not used by the connectors. This includes the two analog output lines, three digital lines (including the digital lines with the frequency and pulse width modulation outputs), and a +5 volt power terminal.
Catalog Number: (470352-612)

Description:   Give your MatataBot a new look with these decorative silicone skins.
Catalog Number: (470162-700)

Description:   For electrical circuits with low voltages and high currents; copper wire encased in highly flexible PVC; equipped at either end with a laminated safety plug and a fully-insulated axial jack for connecting additional patch cords.
