Additional items needed but not included: 12% denaturing polyacrylamide gels (3), vertical gel electrophoresis equipment, shaker platform (optional), micropipettes with tips, microtest tubes, beakers, transfer pipets, graduated cylinders, plastic wrap, scissors, trays, forceps, several packs of paper towels, latex or vinyl lab gloves, safety goggles, methanol, and distilled water.
