Examine Algae Pigments Using Thin Layer Chromatography

By separating the pigments from three different algae types that are supplied, students can then analyze the results to study the differences in the pigments used to classify algae types. The set includes: red algae, brown algae, and green algae cultures; a teacher’s manual; student copymaster; and enough materials for six setups.
