Adaptable to demonstrations, student group work, or individual study, this set of 12 specimens guides students to conclude that the relationship between volume and mass is density. Each specimen is a different color and comes in four separate sizes. Students measure and weigh the samples, then create a graph of their data, which leads to the identification of the materials present and reveals the relationships between mass and volume.
The large set is provided in clear plastic containers with caps for compact storage, damage protection, and use in experiments. Two extra containers are provided.
