Bring Some Heat Into the Classroom
Present these demonstrations in front of your class to excite your students about learning core physics concepts. Set up and execution are simple, so you can spend more time engaging your students. Ideal for introducing a unit or using as reinforcement after a lesson, these demos are available for all fundamental physical science topics.
This conductometer has four holes drilled along its length, which allows for several multifaceted applications. As a quantitative demonstration, birthday candles or match heads may be placed on the holes and the heat conductivity can be demonstrated to the students. The holes also allow temperature probes to be placed at specific points to allow accurate measurements to be recorded. Note: Please practice safety when handling demonstrations with fire.
