The Hardy-Weinberg Law of genetic equilibrium demonstrates that events, such as mutation, genetic drift and natural selection have a dramatic effect on gene frequency in a population.
Using classmates as a sample population, students will examine such changes. Required, but not included: calculator with square root function, index cards (100).
For 10 student groups. Duration: 2 hours or two lab periods.
