Students construct molecules from color-coded plastic atoms and learn about the structure and function of each. The holes in each atom are set at angles that accept the provided flexible connectors representing the different bonds. Medium-length gray links represent single covalent bonds, long gray links represent double and triple covalent bonds, and short white links can be used to construct compact models.
The large number of atoms and bonds allow the construction of a wide variety of crystal structures. A convenient plastic storage case is included.
