Help your students gain an awareness of the significance water pollution plays in the environment. These simple qualitative tests of natural and treated water produce reliable results through vivid color changes.
- Collect local water samples
- Uses single factor tests
- Tests are qualitative color changes
The amount of pollutant in the water can be compared by the depth of color. These ten common pollutants and pH determination can be identified in locally collected water: ammonia, chlorine, chromium, copper, cyanide, iron, nitrate, phosphate, silica and sulfide. Material for a total of 50 tests for each of the listed pollutants.
