Students conduct the classic Leeuwenhoek bacteria experiment in this individualized, self-paced kit. Paralleling methods performed over 300 years ago, students observe and identify bacteria using a microscope. Students ultimately observe and identify bacteria through a microscope (required, but not included). Bacteria is cultured by peppercorn, hay and bean infusions prepared by the student and then mounted and gram stained on slides.
